As yet, California doesn’t have a licensing agency regulating home inspectors.

This means that anyone—from a dog groomer to a home handyman—can perform a home inspection and charge a fee this service.
But you can protect yourself by asking your home inspector to show you the CREIA badge.

Founded in 1976, CREIA is a nonprofit corporation which provides training, education and support services to the real estate inspection profession and to the public.
Only members of the California Real Estate Inspection Association who have successfully passed written tests, completed 30 hours of education annually, and who adhere to CREIA’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice are entitled to wear the badge and use the logo in their advertising.

The CREIA Code of Ethics requires each member to maintain a high standard of professionalism, independence, integrity, and fairness in all real estate inspections and related activities. This ensures that you will receive an unbiased, competent and objective real estate inspection.

The CREIA Standards of Practice define the scope of an inspection and protect consumers from erroneous or misleading inspection reports. In brief, the Standards identify the components and systems typically encountered, indicate what is to be observed, and establish requirements for reporting.

“Two heads are better than one,” so why settle for one home inspector when you can have two experienced professionals at no extra cost?

Jerry & Mary Williver
CREIA Certified Inspectors

Our team approach provides you with the most thorough, detailed home inspection possible.

By always working together, we carefully evaluate the systems and components of a home without hurrying—unlike one inspector might just to cover the same area.

With two inspectors, someone is always available to answer your questions and explain the significance of all findings during the inspection.

Can’t attend your home inspection? No problem. Each report is profusely illustrated with color photos to make sure you understand exactly what we’ve uncovered and how it relates to the big picture.

A home inspection report should be easy to read and understand so you’ll feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

Our state-of-the-art software produces a
reader-friendly report, which combines the brevity of a checklist with the details of a narrative. As important, we write in plain English and clearly define any technical terms.

As soon as your home inspection is completed, we generate your report and e-mail it to you that same day. Alternatively, we can print color copies of your report if you prefer...right from the site.
By the way, any part of the text and pictures in the report can be cut and pasted into other documents, which makes getting repair estimates quick and easy via e-mail. Or send the entire report to family and friends for their feedback.

You also get free supplemental printed materials covering home safety, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades to ensure you enjoy maximum satisfaction and equity from your purchase. Of course, we urge you to contact us with your questions or for more information about any aspect of home care—and there’s no time limit or cost associated with this offer.

As the company owners and inspectors, we represent and answer to you, not a franchise manager or field supervisor. Our mission is to provide you with an unbiased evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of your home and to always be there for you.

Your deadline is our priority, so we schedule home inspections 7 days/week, including holidays, because we’re on-call for you. Contact us today and discover how Williver Home Inspection delivers peace of mind...one home inspection at a time.
